During the Esri 2025 Conference in California, USA “Oman Broadband” Honored with the Global Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) Award

Oman Broadband Company has won the prestigious “Special Achievement in GIS (SAG)” award during its participation in the Esri 2025 Conference, the largest global event for geographic information system (GIS) technology. The conference is held annually in San Diego, California, bringing together leading institutions and companies in the field.

This prestigious award is presented by Esri, the world leader in GIS software, to organizations demonstrating exceptional excellence in applying geospatial technology to deliver innovative solutions, enhance decision-making processes, and address complex technical challenges.

Oman Broadband stood out among hundreds of thousands of companies worldwide thanks to its innovative initiatives that have significantly advanced its geospatial systems and revolutionized fiber optic network management. These technologies have enabled the company to achieve operational efficiency and enhance its capabilities in digital transformation.

During the ceremony held as part of the conference events, the award was received by Engineer Khalfan bin Mohammed Al-Amri, General Manager of Network Planning and Technology, alongside Mohammed bin Ali Al-Maktoumi, GIS Section Head. The award was personally presented by Jack Dangermond, Founder and President of Esri.
