Oman Broadband Company has signed two strategic cooperation agreements with Al Khalili Group and Malak Tower, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the nation’s digital infrastructure and expand collaboration with various industry partners.
The first cooperation agreement, signed with Al Khalili Group, aims to foster collaboration in the fields of renewable energy, information technology, and fire safety systems. Furthermore, it encompasses the organization of specialized workshops for the company’s employees focusing on smart solutions and data center technologies, thereby contributing to the development of national competencies and keeping abreast of the latest technological advancements. The agreement was signed by Eng. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Wahaibi, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Broadband Company, and Sheikh Qais bin Salim Al Khalili, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Khalili Group.
The second agreement was signed with Malak Tower, focusing on providing connectivity services to the tower and implementing its internal optical fiber network. This will enhance the readiness of the digital infrastructure and support the delivery of advanced telecommunication services within the project. Representing Oman Broadband in the signing was Eng. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Wahaibi, CEO, while Sheikh Shadhan bin Qais Al Khalili, Board Member of Al Khalili Group, signed on behalf of Malak Tower.

Eng. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Wahaibi stated: “These agreements reflect our continuous commitment to expanding the scope of our strategic partnerships and fortifying the digital infrastructure in the Sultanate of Oman. This directly supports digital transformation initiatives and cements Oman’s position as a regional hub for modern technologies.”

Sheikh Shadhan Al Khalili, Board Member, added: “This agreement represents an important milestone toward developing an advanced telecommunications infrastructure within Malak Tower, which will contribute to delivering high-quality services and enhancing the project’s added value.”
These agreements fall within Oman Broadband Company’s broader strategy aimed at building effective partnerships, expanding optical fiber services, and supporting the transition toward a comprehensive digital economy driven by innovation and modern technology.
