Oman Broadband Company has officially inaugurated the “Interactive Journey to Discover the World of Fiber Optic” at Salalah Gardens Mall. The event is a key component of the company’s participation in Khareef Dhofar 2026 under the theme “Experience the Speed… Go Fiber” aiming to enhance community awareness regarding the importance of fiber optic and its profound role in supporting digital transformation and improving the quality of life.

The activation serves as an entertaining and educational experience targeting visitors of all ages. It enables the public to learn about the significance and advantages of fiber optic through five interactive games. These games effectively simulate the speed of fiber, its role in connecting the community, and the enhancement of the home user experience, while highlighting its overall contributions to building Oman’s digital future.

Eng. Nasser bin Mubarak Al Hinai, Vice President Commercial and Strategy in Oman Broadband Company, affirmed that the massive turnout and high level of visitor engagement with the “Interactive Journey to Discover the World of Fiber Optic” reflects a strong public interest in understanding modern technologies and how fiber optic improves connectivity. He noted that designing the experience in a highly interactive manner serves to simplify the concept of fiber optic, thereby raising awareness of its importance as a fundamental enabler for digital transformation and societal advancement.

It is worth noting that the “Interactive Journey to Discover the World of Fiber Optic” will continue at Salalah Gardens Mall until July 30. This activation is a core part of Oman Broadband Company’s comprehensive Khareef Dhofar program, which includes a series of events and interactive experiences specifically designed to foster a culture of digital transformation and educate the public on the network’s role in empowering the community.
