Oman Broadband Company Signs a number of cooperation programs at COMEX 2024 to Enhance the fiber optic network

Oman Broadband Company (OBB) has announced the signing of several cooperation programs aimed at enhancing the telecommunications infrastructure and services across Oman. These initiatives were formalized on the sidelines of COMEX 2024, underscoring OBB’s commitment to improving connectivity throughout the Sultanate.

First cooperation programe:

In addition, OBB signed a cooperation program with Al Mouj Muscat to provide a fiber optic network, facilitating internet service access for all residents and visitors. The agreement was signed by Eng. Sultan Ahmed Al Wahaibi, CEO of OBB and Nasser Masoud Al Shaibani, CEO of Al Mouj Muscat

Second cooperation programe:

OBB has also partnered with Muscat Hills to facilitate fiber optic network access for all operators in the area. This cooperation was signed by Eng. Sultan Ahmed Al Wahaibi, CEO of OBB and Elise Malik, Deputy CEO of Muscat Hills.

Third cooperation program:

OBB has also entered into a cooperation program with Globalcom Telecom, allowing Globalcom Telecom to utilize OBB’s data center. This cooperation aims to improve the quality of services provided in the digital data centers of both companies. The cooperation program was signed by Eng. Sultan Ahmed Al Wahaibi, CEO of OBB and Dr. Ahmed Al Numani, CEO of Globalcom Telecom.

Fourth cooperation program:

Furthermore, OBB signed a cooperation program with Edrak Real Estate Development Company to provide a fiber optic network and enhance internet services in the Labor Village of Edrak Real Estate Development Company in Khazaen City, Wilayat of Barka. The agreement was signed by Eng. Sultan Ahmed Al Wahaibi, CEO of OBB and Dr. Adel Alexander, CEO of Edrak Real Estate Development Company.

Fifth cooperation program:

 Oman Broadband Company signed a cooperation program with the Central Market for Fruits and Vegetables, with the aim of facilitating the access of the fiber optic network to all operators in the region.

 The cooperation was signed by Engineer Sultan bin Ahmed Al Wahaibi, CEO of the Oman Broadband Company, and on behalf of the Central Market, Khalid Al Khatib, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Commenting on these partnerships, Eng. Sultan Ahmed Al Wahaibi, CEO of OBB, stated,”The collaborations with public and private institutions aim to improve internet services provided by OBB and enhance broadband connectivity across the Sultanate of Oman,”
